Children's Art Competition Terms and Conditions – April 2020

  1. The Promoter is: Health Shield Friendly Society Ltd (Mutuals Public Register Number 50F) whose registered office is at Electra Way, Crewe Business Park, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 6HS.
  1. The competition is open to children residing in the United Kingdom who are aged 5 to 11 years old at the time they enter the competition, except for the children of employees of the Promoter, and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  1. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  1. Entries must be a minimum of A4 in size but can be bigger and may be either a painting or drawing.
  1. In order to enter, you must submit a photo of the art via the Promoter’s Facebook page – Health Shield Friendly Society Ltd, by replying in the comments of the dedicated competition posts.

    All entries must be accompanied with a short note (this can be written by the child or an adult) explaining what the picture is of and why they chose to draw/paint it. It must also include the age of the child that’s created the artwork.

    Do not include photos of the artist. Any photos of children received will be deleted.

 

  1. All entrants should retain their original artwork until the competition winners are announced.
  1. The Promoter will arrange and pay for collection or delivery of the winning artwork from the winners for display at the Promoter’s head office.
  1. Parents and guardians may enter the competition on behalf of their own children using their own social media platform account.
  1. Only one entry will be accepted per child. The Promoter will exercise its own discretion when accepting multiple entries from the same person and may reject entries without giving notice that they have done so.
  1. Closing date for entry will be Thursday 30th April. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  1. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  1. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  1. There will be two categories of entrants:
  • Age 5 to 6 years old
  • Age 7 to 11 years old
  1. One winner in each category will receive a £150 gift card for a Virgin Experience Day.
  1. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  1. Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter and the winners will be announced on or before Monday 11th May.
  1. The winner will be notified via a Facebook post and asked to direct message to arrange collection of their prize within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  1. The Promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / will be delivered.
  1. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  1. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  1. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection laws and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent or the consent of their appropriate parent or guardian.
  1. You are providing your information to the Promoter only and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy found at: www.healthshield.co.uk/privacy-policy
  1. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network.
